Palliative Care Legal Program

Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre’s Palliative Care Legal Program works with local solicitors and Bendigo Health social workers to provide free and confidential legal advice to people in palliative care.

Hospital staff often encounter patients facing end-of-life issues and unmet legal needs. This program works with Bendigo Health social workers who have identified patients with urgent and unmet legal needs (eg the need to draft a will or Power of Attorney). The hospital staff contact our service and we put them in touch with a team of local lawyers who provide assistance on a pro bono basis.

If you or someone you care for is in palliative care in Bendigo Health and needs legal advice, please make contact with the hospital’s social work staff for a referral.

Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre (a division of Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre) operates a similar service in conjunction with Goulburn Valley Hospice. Contact Goulburn Valley Hospice social work staff for a referral.
