Who we help
We provide free and confidential legal advice appointments for people who live or work in Greater Bendigo, Loddon, Campaspe, Mt Alexander, Central Goldfields and parts of the Macedon Ranges.
We provide advice on a wide range of legal issues. We also provide information about the law and resources to help people solve their legal problems.
We prioritise people who are experiencing social and economic disadvantage.
Please see the table below to find out which legal issues we can provide advice on.
If we are not able to give you advice about your legal issue, we can give you information about other services that might be able to help.
To book an appointment for legal advice, call us on (03) 5445 0909 or 1800 450 909 (if calling from outside Bendigo). You do not need a referral to access our service.
In addition to our legal advice services, we provide ongoing legal support and representation to people who are experiencing multiple forms of disadvantage, such as disability, homelessness, financial hardship, discrimination, family violence, physical and mental health problems, or issues with alcohol and drug use.
To be eligible for ongoing legal assistance, you will need to meet certain criteria, like low income or receiving a Centrelink benefit. Your legal problem must also be one of our priority areas of law, which may change from time to time. After an initial advice appointment, our staff will help to assess your eligibility for ongoing assistance.
