The Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre (LCCLC – a program of ARC Justice) delivers a range of legal assistance services (casework, education and policy) across North and Central Victoria.

We are seeking a lawyer to join our team working in the Central Goldfields town of Maryborough. While the position will be primarily be based in Maryborough, regular days will also be spent in the LCCLC office in Bendigo.  The position will increase access to justice by providing an integrated legal-health service to clients with complex needs at Maryborough Magistrates Court, while also enabling early intervention support for other priority clients by working with partner organisations in the region. We seek a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 1 year’s post admission experience.

This position is to provide cover for a short-term availability within our team, 38 hours per week or negotiable part time (0.8 or 1.0 EFT) for a fixed period dependent upon start date. The contract is likely to finish June 30th, 2020. Flexible work arrangements are available. Overtime is not payable however flexitime is available within ARC Justice policy guidelines.

LCCLC offers tax-effective salary packaging (up to $30,000 grossed-up per FBT Year), plus access to Accommodation and Meal Entertainment packaging. We also provide an additional three days ex gratia leave between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

In addition to possessing the qualifications necessary to practicing law in Victoria, applicants must have a desire to work within the public interest and community law sector and have an unrestricted driver’s license.
