It was great to have the Victorian Shadow Attorney General Edward O’Donoghue visit today and talk to local legal professionals. Discussing issues such as Family Violence, high incarceration rates, diversionary strategies and the proposed Spent Convictions scheme. The group also discussed the need for more support of drug and alcohol and mental health services, working together with the justice system. These discussions will help to inform and shape future policy directions for the shadow Attorney General. Thanks to Bendigo Law Association and Bendigo Community Health Services for helping to make this happen.
