National Child Protection Week runs from 4-10 September. To mark this annual event in Bendigo, Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre is hosting a discussion around the theme Stronger Communities, Safer Children.
This event will bring together local child protection experts to discuss how we can work effectively together to better connect our communities to keep our kids safe. The event recognises that strong communities are those in which children are seen and heard, in which their participation is valued and their families are given the support they need.
Loddon Campaspe CLC’s Child Protection Service helps people with child protection matters at several Central Victorian courts. Our lawyers provide free legal information, advice and casework to adults and children with child protection issues. The service connects clients with other professional supports, delivers community legal education on child protection issues, and contributes to policy discussions around child protection. The service is funded by Victoria Legal Aid.
