Are you a dynamic lawyer, passionate about social justice and exploring legal practice in a health setting? Have you seen how legal issues impact the well-being of clients and wondered what more you can do about it? Want to work in one of Victoria’s most culturally vibrant and beautiful regional areas?
Through the generosity of Legal Services Board Victoria, the Shepparton-based Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre is offering a three-year, full-time employment opportunity as a lawyer developing a therapeutic justice pilot in partnership with Primary Care Connect.
Goulburn Valley CLC is a division of Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre and a program of ARC Justice. The position will be based primarily within Primary Care Connect and at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court, delivering legal support to people with complex care needs within the Shepparton Court and healthcare settings.
In addition to possessing the qualifications necessary to practicing law in Victoria, applicants must demonstrate a knowledge of the principles of multi-disciplinary practice and be prepared to champion the evolution of an integrated service delivery approach, inspired by the Medical-Legal Partnership movement in the United States.
