New online legal resources for Victorians

The Victoria Law Foundation recently launched a new website with free legal help and information for Victorians. Everyday-Law features plain-language legal information, a handy Law Help Directory to help you locate the most appropriate free or low-cost legal service for your problem and location, information on solving legal problems, background on the legal system, and legal news and events. It’s also the place to go to find out what’s coming up in Law Week (held in May each year). The site also features information in Arabic, Chinese, Dinka, Greek, Italian, Turkish and Vietnamese.

Justice Connect (a specialist community legal centre based in Melbourne) recently launched the Not-for-profit Information Hub. This site houses resources on a range of current legal issues and features more than 100 plain-English fact sheets and guides to help charities and not-for-profits from the establishment phase, through running an organisation, to changing or ending an organisation.
